Bio-Gas (Waste to Energy)
EES is the main representative of Orbit Energy, Inc. of USA who own a proprietary waste-to-energy technology that converts a wide variety of organic wastes, such as food and animal wastes, into biogas and organic fertilizer. The technology, referred to as High Solids Anaerobic Digestion (HSAD), was originally developed at the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory during the 1990’s. Over a 10-year period, the Department of Energy (DOE) invested more than $10 million into the development of this technology.
In the late 1990’s, DOE granted the HSAD technology rights to DOE researchers who were responsible for development of this technology. These rights have since been acquired by Orbit Energy, Inc., which is moving forward in commercializing the technology.
The biogas, which is about 60% methane and 40% CO2, can be used to fuel industrial boilers, generate electricity, refined to biomethane, upgraded to pipeline quality natural gas, or converted to methanol.

Our HSAD has applications in a number of large and growing markets driven by:
-
A continuing upward price trend for natural gas
-
Rising demand for renewable energy is resulting from high fossil fuel prices and tightening environmental regulations.
-
Attractive incentives including renewable energy grants, renewable energy tax credits, and rising green energy and carbon reduction credits.
-
Growing demand for organic fertilizer products to support the rapidly growing market for organic produce and animal feeds.
-
Growing concern about global warming.
-
Public concern about the use of landfills and incineration.
Ideal applications include providing such plants to produce organic fertilizer and gas for power generation to:
-
Cattle farms
-
Poultry farms
-
Municipal waste treatment
-
Bio-degradable industrial and food waste
-
etc.
